NYC Sanitation employees have the right to bring a lawsuit against anyone who may have caused their injury, including the City of New York. You must, however, file a Notice of Claim within 90 days of the date of your LODI with the NYC Comptroller. Our office can help with this procedure.
It is essential for those injured to protect their financial future including your hard-earned pensions by determining who is responsible for the accident and taking action immediately!
You may also be entitled to receive an accident disability pension or an ordinary disability from NYCERS.
There are several types of pensions (Accidental, Ordinary, WTC & Heart), so it is important to understand the rules regarding filing deadlines and requirements as soon as possible. Depending on your case, you may qualify to receive a 3/4 accident disability tax-free pension.
NYC Sanitation Worker Lawyer, Todd Strier has helped hundreds of employees with their injury and pension cases and can help you protect what you deserve due to your injuries.
